New Format! Video instruction with in-person or remote private tutorials, and the option of small group critiques.

$380.00

I have created a new course offering with a slightly different format. After years of teaching workshops, I would like to try a new method of teaching that I hope integrates the best of all worlds: working at your own pace, individual instruction, and the option of social group interaction and sharing.

I have filmed the teaching segment of the course and am now offering it along with the option of meeting with me for private tutorial(s). This can be done in-person or via Zoom. Together we will create assignments that you can complete at home at your own pace.

I will offer the option of meeting with me and fellow students for group critiques, to look at work in a group setting, share feedback and experience, and meet other painters.

I am curently working with a small group of students ranging from beginner to more experienced. My students like this format for painting instruction. It provides the video step-by-step instruction, which can be referred to repeatedly; the in-person private meetings, which are tailored to each student’s specific needs and interests; and also the more social group format, through the group critiques, which we set up several times per year.

At this time, I offer the course at the same rate as the three-day workshops I offered in the past: $380.  This includes:

-The 3-hour-plus video is an in-depth guided oil painting course divided into three segments and based on a three-day oil painting workshop.

-Two one-hour private consultations, either in-person or via Zoom

-Ongoing group critiques: invitations to these gatherings will be open to all participants of my workshops. (Remote students can choose to replace this option with another private consult.)

-I will also have some availability by text and photo as you work.

-The plan can be amended and extended. Once you have completed the video segment of the course, we can continute to work together and create assignments/ feedback opportunities for your painting journey.
